Giant Hogweed (Heracleum mantegazzianum) at Hadley Point

The invasive and phototoxic species of Giant Hogweed is being treated at Hadley Point with an herbicide, which will take a number of applications and weeks to be eliminated.  The areas being treated are well-marked.  Giant Hogweed is a phototoxic plant, meaning the sap can cause serious skin inflammations.  If contact is made with the eyes, it can cause blindness.  Click the link below for Giant Hogweed identification.
